Right at this moment I am stuck
inside, unable to go anywhere, due to the fact that their is no fuel in the
entire country. This is partly my own fault because I thought I would make
a stand and not go to the petrol station yesterday. The reason for this was
that if I didn't go out and panic buy a shit load of fuel, which I don't really
need, other road users might think the same and maybe the fuel crisis would
not turn into a complete panic. The only problem with this logic is that most
road users don't know even how to drive let alone the concept of conserving
fuel supplies.
So what has been the result of
this panic buying. The fuel situation has become ten times worse than it should
be. Ambulances, doctors, nurses and other emergency services are having trouble
getting places. My local supermarket is empty because the local population
is about to expect world war 3. In fact, as far as I am concerned, the whole
bloody country has gone bonkers.
Are we all so dependent on our
cars that when we can't use them the whole fabric of society breaks down.
I suppose I should blame the Government. But then again, it's always the Government's
fault isn't it. No matter what colour they happen to be flying.
