It's a wet and stormy night that I turn up to at the Tunbridge Wells Forum. Having survived the floods out side I was in the mood for some good musical entertainment. First to take to the stage was Rydell. Not letting the wet weather dampen their souls they did a good job of banging out some happy go lucky tunes and didn't seem to be that perturbed that no one had turned up. Well that's rock and roll for you. After Rydell came the headline act, The Junket. Their back catalogue of songs such as Lux Safari and Stamina are highly polished alternative metal tracks that blend themselves into a well respected set. The Junket seem old hands to the gigging routine and look confident with their projected image on stage. |

Finally the damp audience start to show their appreciation and find the energy to throw themselves about on The Forum's brand new pine floor. These type of activities usually ending in some poor soul losing his footing and sliding into the wall. The Junket take this all in their stride and are cheered for another visit to the stage for their efforts of entertaining the crowd. Who are by now have managed to get themselves into some human entanglement on the floor. You can hear and see more of The Junket in our music and video pages. Their is also some spoken words with them in out Interview section. |
